Regensburg: Croeso i Gymru / Welcome to Wales Festival 2027

A follow up to the festival in 2025: https://www.uni-regensburg.de/sprache-literatur-kultur/anglistik/conferences-events/croeso-i-gymri-welcome-to-wales-festival-2025/index.html The 2025 programme was as follows: 2 October: a series of Welsh films will be shown at Andreasstadel Cinema and the award-winning novelist, poet and scriptwriter Owen Sheers will be talking to us about his script for The Green Hollow.

3 and 4 October: talks from speakers across Wales, Germany and Austria on a wide range of Welsh topics, including its language, its culture, its politics and its stunning landscapes, will be held at Regensburg University. Welsh snacks, gifts and drinks will be available in the foyer throughout.

3 October 19:00: a six-course Welsh-themed meal will be offered at Sticky Fingers restaurant. It has been created by Michelin chef Hywel Griffith of The Boat House on Oxwich Bay in Wales, together with Regensburg’s own Anton Schmaus.
